It also contains Epigallocatechin gallate, or better known as EGCG, which increases metabolism. This increase in metabolism helps the body burn fat faster, and caffeine content in it further intensifies this effect. This activation of beneficial substances is the reason that green tea is known to help reduce weight and fat, but this works well only when you are doing something to burn the fat in the first place. We all have a hormone known as Norepinephrine which is responsible for sending the signal that releases lipids from fat cells. As discussed before, green tea has a compound in it called EGCG. This EGCG stops the big problem at the root itself by preventing the production of an enzyme. This protein is necessary because it reduces the action of the hormone Norepinephrine.
So it is very much true that green tea helps reduce fat and weight, but because each and every individual has their rate of metabolism, stamina, energy, and so many other things that make up who we are, so the amount of exercise, dieting, and extra effort you must put along with the green tea completely depends on you. I highly recommend trying different types, styles, and quantities of green tea along with changing workout routines or diet schedules.
